Barb Beyer is a retired Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who worked in the Geriatric Psychiatry Division at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She will discuss what Dementia is and the heightened risk it poses to becoming a victim of elder abuse. The interactive discussion will also touch on caregiver self-neglect and how to prevent it This is the first presentation in a series of three webinars for World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) by Connections Area Agency on Aging.
